The Researcher Wellbeing Project
Developing a strategic approach to researcher wellbeing
The Researcher Wellbeing Project (RWP) aims to address the emotional challenges faced by academics engaged in sensitive research, such as on death, social exclusion, extreme poverty and crime. By conducting interviews with researchers, the project has identified the significant impacts of their work on mental health and the need for better support systems. The findings have led to recommendations, which emphasize the importance of awareness, training, and resources to foster a culture of wellbeing in academia.
